I am interested in where small business owners and non-profit executives go to share resources with their colleagues to assist them in leading/managing their businesses and organizations. I am seeking industry and non-industry-specific outlets.
I have seen a gap in the cross-industry space and I am considering what a network/forum might look like for integrated leadership and management practices shared by peers.
Thanks in advance for any insight you have.

I just relaunched my strategic management practice this month with a rebrand and focus on offering integrated management practices to small business owners and executives.
I am passionate about assisting people with the management of their businesses and organizations. You do your work because you believe in what you can create and the impact you can have. I do mine because I know I can make management easier for you. It's my superpower. I built a model that works. I've used it for over 20 years. If you need a framework and you want to shift, we should connect.

I was contacted recently about the relaunch of a local business network that started with a conversation in my living room and I ended up co-founding 15 years ago. I met Kimber Lanning then and she is one of the few local first leaders from that beginning still at the helm of change in supporting local enterprises and communities to build a vibrant and inclusive economy. Few things in my professional life have resonated with me more deeply than assisting small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs manage better in order to sustain their enterprises and support communities. She's an inspiration and this is a very important read.

- Set direction
- Motivate & Inspire
I thought then and think now to be most effective you need to be able to do both. And most business owners and some executives wear both of these hats.
For me, it is about strategy and execution or implementation. You design better if you can do both and you drive better outcomes because you get how to connect your people. I fully support a more comprehensive approach to business management.
Maybe not in larger orgs but certainly in small business and many non-profits.
This could be the realm of superpowers. It is for me. I love this stuff.

Business Management is not a fragmented set of practices but a comprehensive framework that involves setting direction, engaging and including people, developing systems and processes, and measuring results that are more than financial.
The bigger an organization gets the more fragmented its approach becomes and then strategy gets a bad wrap because the focus is on culture or we need to develop these products yesterday.
All the parts need to be integrated and calibrated to thrive. Not just the one that screams the loudest or where you see a problem or the latest trend emerging or a reorg again for better results. It is a vicious and unproductive cycle to manage this way.
Is this your experience? Is your organization thriving?
